Bio

After studying theater and film at UCLA, Ethan first worked as a Special Effects artist and puppeteer on blockbuster films such as “Return of the Jedi”, “Romancing the Stone”, and “Gremlins”.  He has optioned, sold to, or written scripts for:  Universal, Disney, Fox, Warner Brothers, Miramax, HBO, Lionsgate, New Line, Anchor Bay, New World, Cannon, and other production companies.  Ethan was the original screenwriter for the cult horror-comedies, “House” and “House 2”, which spawned two additional sequels.  He has also written TV pilots for FOX TV and Spelling Entertainment.  His independent film company, Wiseacre Films, produced seven films which all achieved worldwide distribution.  He has directed six films to date, including “House 2”, “Children of the Corn 5”, Christmas comedy “Elf-Man”, and the Chinese family adventure “Journey to the Forbidden Valley”.   Most recently Ethan was Production Consultant for Universal’s, “Man With The Iron Fists 2”, filmed in Thailand, and screenwriter for “Dead Again in Tombstone”, starring Danny Trejo.  Currently Ethan is producing two documentaries: "Dude Ranch Dada" and "Mike Henderson: Here I Stand".  In addition to his filmmaking, Ethan is also a musician and currently hosts the "Virtuosity Podcast" on Spotify.
